Let’s talk a little bit about what’s going on, what our response is, and maybe some things that you should be thinking about during this covid crisis.
First and foremost, and I’m sure you’ve heard it pretty much everywhere, the thing that should be on our mind is safety. Safety for our employees, safety for ourselves, safety for our customers, safety for the public in general, and that means different things to different people. One of the most important things that we can do during this time is not listen to unverified sources of information. Right now for instance, we’re not taking any guidance other than that that’s provided by the CDC or the local municipalities directly so that we can respond with that information. We’re not passing on information we don’t directly receive from those sources and the reason why is because other sources just don’t seem to be as reliable. So we want to make sure we’re making the best decisions possible. That allows us to keep as many people safe as possible.
Let’s not be confused. We’re not talking about the spread of the virus. We’re talking about keeping people safe. As an insurance agent, risk is something we look at every day and we kind of look at the world from that perspective all the time, not just when we have our work hats on. So if I can impart some of that onto you, please take some time as you’re living your day to day, whether you’re self quarantined, you’re heading to the grocery store, whether you’re making decisions that are necessary for the wellbeing of your family and yourself, make sure that you’re looking at it with an eye as to what can happen now what may be the repercussions for the future, what are the repercussions for you and what are the repercussions for the people around you.
With that and the safety guidance that we’re receiving, we should be able to get through this together with no problems.
That being said, we want to let you know that we are available to you. All of our regular communication lines are open as they always have been.
